	H.B. of Somerset. Letter to PBO magazine April 2002 I would like to add my comments to the article 'Staying the Distance' in a recent issue of PBO. Having just finished by 7 week Day Skipper Internet course with Chichester Maritime, I’m pleased to report that I passed with 'flying colours'. I decided against the more conventional correspondence course and chose the internet route because I’ve not sat in a classroom for many years and wanted a way to study at times convenient to me without relying on the postal system. The course was easy to use, well laid out and extremely well written. What impressed me most was the rapid turnaround time for queries and assessment marking/feedback. I never had to wait more than 3 hours, even on Boxing Day! My only critism would be the fact that I had to upgrade my browser from Internet Explorer 4 to 5.
